we used the dry erase magnetic boards and the magnetic alphabet to copy letters
and write our names. JKs also worked on their writing with phonics workbook.

Centers - today JKs
had the opportunity to have play dough during our purposeful play time. The benefits of play dough play are
numerous and children of all ages have much to gain from engaging with play
dough activities. Here are some of the benefits: fine motor
skill development, creativity and imagination, hand-eye co-ordination, social
skills, literacy and numeracy development.
Poem Practice – JKs
are working hard at practicing the following when presenting their poem:
-
Projection
-
Pacing
-
Enunciation
and Articulation
-
Memorization
-
Body
Language
Poetry memorization builds vocabulary and comprehension.
As students practice their poem presentation in class they are building
presentation skills, which leads to a sense of pride, satisfaction and
accomplishment. Keep up with practicing at home as well!
Have a great evening everyone!
