Morning circle time – we had our special helper of the day adding the date to our calendar, we sang our morning songs, then added one more popcorn to our 100th Day of school counting.
Snack – JKs were encouraged to eat a healthy snack.

Recess and Lunch
Language – we reviewed our phonics song for all letters learned

Then JKs used the dry erase boards
to practice writing uppercase and lowercase Rr.
Math- JKs worked on a cutting and pasting activity where they matched real life objects with the 2D shapes.

Centers - today JKs had letter manipulatives
as part of the purposeful play time. Letter manipulatives give children a way
to interact with the alphabet
through hands-on play. They are able to feel the shape of the letter (curves
and lines) and arrange multiple letters to form letter strings or words.
Poem Practice – JKs are working hard
at practicing the following when presenting their poem:

Language
Poetry memorization
builds vocabulary and comprehension. As students practice their poem
presentation in class they are building presentation skills, which leads to a
sense of pride, satisfaction and accomplishment. Keep up with practicing at
home as well! J
