Language – learning goal: review/learn short vowel sounds.
Activity: students will learn the song for short U vowel and complete pages 8-9 from the language print outs.

Mrs. Padovan's video: Ordering Shortest to Tallest
Activity: collect
toys or other objects of different heights.
Place 3 toys together and ask children to put
them in order by height. Then have your child explain how they ordered the toys. Ask:

Which is the shortest? Which is the tallest?– How do you know?
Extra: ask your child to use a tower of Lego blocks or any available stackable blocks as an unit of non-standard measure and go on an “About the same as my tower” hunt around the house. Have them record what they find out by drawing a picture of the objects that are “about the same.”
