Morning circle time – we had our special helper of the day doing our
calendar, we sang our morning songs, then added one more popcorn to our 100th
Day of school counting. Today we also watched the story of Pete the Cat
Rocking on School Shoes https://youtu.be/8-n6c6Ggs-Q
Snack – JKs were
encouraged to eat a healthy snack.
Recess and Lunch
Language – we
sang our phonics song for letter A, then we all pretended to be detectives, as
we put on our detective’s hat, we were challenged to find all As on our paper
and dab them with the bingo dauber. Oh,
we learned how to use the bingo dauber, without making a mess! Great job JKs!
We continued today with our “All About Me” bag
presentations and everyone did a very good job!
Math/UOI – as
part of our Unit of Inquiry, we continued to talk about healthy eating. Today
we talked about healthy vegetables and what is our favorite vegetable. Then we
tied our UOI with Math, as we matched the amount of stem to the correct number
on the carrot. Oh, we are learning how
to use the glue stick! J
Recess and Lunch/snack
Centers – students had the choice of playing
with puzzles, lacing and foam blocks. Just a reminder that when we have centers
at the end of the day, students are being exposed to emotional, social and cognitive growth,
as they also learn skills of self-regulation.
