Morning circle time – we had our special helper of the day adding the date to our calendar, we sang our morning songs, then added one more popcorn to our 100th Day of school counting.
Snack – JKs were encouraged to eat a healthy snack.

Recess and Lunch
Language – we reviewed our phonics song for letter J. Here is the

Next, we worked on our Writing
with Phonics workbook. When completing the workbook, JKs practice holding the
pencil properly, with a firm grip and also forming the lowercase and uppercase
in the lines.
Math
– JK practiced counting the pictures and graphing.

Centers - today we had a variety of sorting stations. Sorting is such an important concept for children to understand that things are alike and different as well as that they can belong and be organized into certain groups. Getting practice with sorting at an early age is important for numerical concepts and grouping numbers and sets when they're older. This type of thinking starts them on the path of applying logical thinking to objects, mathematical concepts and every day life in general.
